International Charity Day is celebrated on September 5th in order to commemorate the anniversary of the passing away of Mother Teresa of Calcuta, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1929 ‘for the work undertaken in the struggle to overcome poverty and distress.’
Charity Day presents us with the great opportunity to get involved in the charity events that are going on around the world.
This year Junior IV pupils together with Secondary Students (CAS) have collected oil, broth, sugar, yerba, pasta, rice and tomato sauce in order to help Comedor “La Chola.»
We congratulate Junior IV pupils and teachers on this initiative and we thank QHS families for their donation, always accompanying this type of activities.
El Día Internacional de la Caridad se celebra el 5 de septiembre. Esta fecha fue elegida con el fin de conmemorar el aniversario de fallecimiento de la Madre Teresa de Calcuta, quien recibió el Premio Nobel de la Paz en 1929 por su lucha para superar la pobreza y angustia en los más necesitados.
El Día de la Caridad nos da la gran oportunidad de involucrarnos en eventos solidarios que se llevan a cabo en el mundo.
Este año nuestros/as alumnos/as de Junior IV junto con los/as estudiantes de Secundario (CAS) han recolectado aceite, caldo, azúcar, yerba, fideos, arroz y salsa de tomate con el fin de ayudar al Comedor “La Chola.”
Felicitamos a los/as alumnos/as de Junior IV y a sus docentes por esta iniciativa solidaria y agradecemos a nuestras familias por sus donaciones, siempre acompañando este tipo de propuestas.
