On May 29th, our traditional Badge Awarding ceremony took place in the Hall of our school. The new Prefects’ families were there as well as the kids, who proudly wore their red, blue and yellow T-shirts. We also welcomed our new Housemistresses: Miss Mariana, Miss Luciana and Miss Florencia.
Our Headmistress, Miss Valerie gave the audience a thorough explanation about the famous explorers that give name to our three Houses. They mentioned their feats and highlighted the values and attitudes during their successive explorations setting an example to the generations to come.
After this, Miss Valerie and Miss Dorys, our Deputy Head, called the Housemistresses to hand out the diplomas to the new Prefects.
In an atmosphere of joy and excitement, the new Prefects went on stage to get their diplomas. They read the oaths on the fulfilment of their Prefects’ duties and celebrated with their mates.
Once the ceremony was over, the new Prefects had some pictures taken with the standards and flags of their Houses.

El 29 de mayo, nuestro tradicional Badge Awarding Ceremony tuvo lugar en el Salón de nuestra escuela. Las familias de los nuevos Prefects estaban allí, así como los alumnos, que llevaban con orgullo sus camisetas rojas, azules y amarillas. También dimos la bienvenida a nuestras nuevas Housemistresses: Miss Mariana, Miss Luciana y Miss Florencia.
Nuestra Directora, Miss Valeria Peirano, dio una clara explicación a la audiencia acerca de quiénes fueron los célebres personajes que dan nombre a las tres Houses: Hudson, Livingstone y Shackleton.
A continuación, Miss Valerie y Miss Dorys, nuestra Vicedirectora, convocaron a las Housemistresses a entregar los diplomas a los/as nuevos/as Prefects.
En un clima de alegría y entusiasmo, los/as alumnos/as subieron al escenario a recibir su diploma, leer su juramento sobre el cumplimiento de sus tareas como Prefects y celebrar junto a sus compañeros/as.
Al finalizar la ceremonia, los/as chicos/as se tomaron fotos junto a los estandartes y los banderines de sus respectivas casas.
