On May 18th, our traditional Badge Awarding Day took place in our School Hall. The new Prefects’ parents were there as well as the kids, who proudly wore their red, blue and yellow T-shirts. We also welcomed our Housemistresses: Miss Marina, Miss Barbie and Miss Mariel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our Headmistress, Miss Valerie gave the audience a thorough explanation about the famous explorers that give name to our three Houses. They mentioned their feats and highlighted the values and attitudes during their successive explorations, setting an example to the generations to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among some of their famous phases we shared these: David Livingstone: Sir Ernest Shackleton: After this, Miss Valerie, our Head and Miss Dorys, our Deputy Head, called the Housemistresses to hand out the certificates and pins to the new Prefects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In an atmosphere of joy and excitement, the new Prefects went on stage to get hold of their award, to read the oaths on the fulfilment of their Prefects’ duties and to celebrate with their mates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Later, the new Prefects had some pictures taken with the House standards and flags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was a wonderful celebration!<\/p>\n\n\n\n On that day, our Prefects meeting gave Miss Valerie and Miss Dorys the possibility to share with them a presentation on the activities and responsibilites this role entails. Our Prefects were given their House books and they were also shown the virtual space they will have in Classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Congratulations!<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n El 18 de mayo, se celebr\u00f3 el \u201cBadge Awarding Day\u201d con la presencia de las familias de los\/as nuevos\/as Junior y Games Prefects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nuestra Directora, Sra. Valeria Peirano, dio una clara explicaci\u00f3n a la audiencia acerca de qui\u00e9nes fueron los c\u00e9lebres exploradores que dan nombre a las tres Houses: Hudson, Livingstone y Shackleton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Se mencionaron sus valientes exploraciones y resaltaron los valores que nos han dejado como ejemplo de sus reiteradas expediciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Entre algunas de sus frases famosas, compartimos \u00e9stas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Henry Hudson: David Livingstone: Sir Ernest Shackleton: A continuaci\u00f3n, Miss Valerie y Miss Dorys, nuestra Vicedirectora, convocaron a las Housemistresses a entregar los certificados y prendedores a los\/as nuevos\/as Prefects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n En un clima de alegr\u00eda y entusiasmo, los\/as alumnos\/as subieron al escenario a recibir su reconocimiento, leer su compromiso sobre el cumplimiento de sus tareas como Prefects y celebrar junto a sus compa\u00f1eros\/as.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Al finalizar la ceremonia, los\/as chicos\/as se tomaron fotos junto a los estandartes y los banderines de sus respectivas casas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00a1Fue una celebraci\u00f3n maravillosa!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Posteriormente, la Reuni\u00f3n de Prefects le dio a Miss Valerie y Miss Dorys la posibilidad de conversar sobre las actividades y responsabilidades que este rol conlleva.
